COPsync, Inc. Contracted to Provide Its Information Sharing Software to Three Neighboring Counties in the Texas Panhandle

CANYON LAKE, Texas, Jan. 29, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- COPsync, Inc. (OTCBB: COYN - News), a software technology provider to law enforcement and emergency service professionals, announced today that it has been commissioned by three neighboring counties in the Texas Panhandle to provide its real time information sharing solution, COPsync(tm), to their law enforcement officers. Hartley County, Dallam County, and Moore County will now have the ability to share critical information as crimes are reported and investigated.

COPsync provides an information collection, distribution and sharing portal so that when a subscribing officer requests information they receive it in real-time. ``Sharing critical information at the point of incident will reduce crime rates, increase officer efficiency, and aid in solving open cases. No longer will criminals have the ability to seek shelter in neighboring jurisdictions. Now Hartley County, Dallam County, Moore County and all other COPsync subscribers can be notified in real time when any other COPsync Agency experiences a serious crime or needs assistance,'' stated COPsync CEO, Russell Chaney.

Via a mobile device, such as a laptop computer, COPsync assists officers in all of the activities that an officer could expect to encounter while on duty, in a simple format and at the touch of a button, allowing officers to make the most efficient use of their time. COPsync is an overlay product to the Agencies' existing technology infrastructure. Data collected in the COPsync interface is processed and then electronically transmitted over to the Agencies' existing computerized records management system.
