COPsync Training

The eight-hour COPsync training class is presently being offered in two locations:
 
North Texas: Eastfield Campus, Dallas County Community College District, Mesquite, Texas.
West Texas: Sul Ross University, Alpine, Texas
  
Neither location charges tuition for COPsync instruction. All classes are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break. 

TCLEOSE Credit Hours
The COPsync training class satisfies 8 hours of TCLEOSE continuing education training requirements. At the completion of class, officers will receive a Certificate of Completion and the school will submit a record of attendance to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.

Classroom Location

Classes are conducted in Computer Lab Room W 115 in the Workforce – Criminal Justice Building, designated as Building W, is on the east side of the campus. Parking is available in adjacent lots N1 and N2. It can be identified by the large “W” on the front of the building.

The building opens at 7:00 am, for early arrivals.

Lunch Break
Lunch break is one hour. No food or beverages are allowed in the classroom. Building W contains a small break room with vending machines containing sandwiches and sodas. Lunch options will be covered during class.

Classes are conducted in the Academic Computer Resource (ACR) Center. Take entrance 2 off Highway 90 and make the first left turn into the main parking lot. The ACR Building is the last building to the right (southernmost) of the three main buildings facing east. The class is in room 104 on the first floor.
 
The building opens at 7:45 am, for early arrivals.
